Quadra 700 With Strange Graphics Corruption
Posted by: Schafeman on 2018-06-18 11:20:14
Hi all..  My Quadra 700 always had an issue with the onboard video.  You can see what looks like moving horizontal lines when viewing either a gray background or if you look carefully, the edges of certain elements on the screen (windows, icons and text if its larger).  It's not my LCD monitor as I use it with several other Mac's, including a Q950 and a PowerMac and its perfectly fine.  I will attempt to get a picture of it, but I'm wondering if anyway has heard of this before?  Computer works great, no strange issues or locking up, its more annoying.

For anyone that was on the edge of their seat waiting for an answer! 🙂

It was just the adapter I was using between the monitor port and vga connector.  It worked fine with other macs, but the 700 didn’t like it.  Swapped with a brand new one I found sitting around and it’s crystal clear.
