Please help identify this SE/30 card

I got this card with a SE/30 and can't find it with Google, maybe it's a french card:

1990 memory plus 
PN X10-S08 Modam se030 adaptor
AMP 535022-1 9145

Yes it's called modam not modem. 😉

I was not brave enough to put it in the SE/30. 🙂  

The card was outside (as a bonus) but the connector was mounted on the SE/30.

Got the SE/30 as faulty, cleaned the logic board from spider webs and dead animals, removed the ram sticks and replaced them with known good ones and this Mac is running like new. Still old caps.... 😉

So if that's a Mac Plus card... don't know what to do...

No no, yours is obviously for the SE/30. Not much that could go wrong when you plug it in 😉

On the SE/30 PDS, there's a chance the driver might be in the Declaration ROM as it is on the Radius Color Pivot II'IIsi, that would be most handy. Are any other 030 cards set up that way? Every Radius VidCard for NuBus I've collected "just works" in that manner.

If it was an AUI port it should also have those tab thingies instead of normal screw mounts.

Don't connect anything at first if you want to be sure.

Bad news:

with the card installed the SE/30 boots normally but doesn't show anything on the (white) screen.

After that I connected an Apple Studio Display 15" (M4551 rev. B ) (b/w) VGA with 3 different adapters, but the Studio Display tells me "signal not showable" or "no computer signal". SE/30 screen remains white. 

Card faulty?

20 mins later:

same results with a second old (LCD) monitor - no CRT monitor available.

I think I'll remove the card and look if the SE/30 wants to show me his normal screen again. 🙂

No, I don't think the card is faulty but the SE/30 may default the main monitor to the non-existent external display.

I don't think this is a colour card as it is missing any kind of DAC. Do you have another real multisync screen that you can hook up to the card?

No, the next available old monitor is a Cinema display 22". 🙂  

I gave away all my CRT monitors many years ago. I never loved these big and heavy CRTs and I honestly don't really need a big monitor for my second SE/30.

Edit: and yes, the SE/30 is working again as before. 😀

There are some older LCDs that support almost as much weird resolution fu as the old CRTs, but only because they were amongst the first LCDs.   I have a bunch of IBM LCDs that were really good about that.  Can't remember the model number now though.

Was going to point out the VRAM memory on the card, but jt beat me to it.    Also, the TI component is an old programmable logic part.

Combination of VRAM and programmable logic almost screams video card, especially given the lack of any DP89xxxxx or DP92xxxx ethernet specific parts.

Some VidCards disabled internal video entirely. Could be 8-bit grayscale, but if it's a simple rehash of an SE card you're likely looking at 1-bit B&W. Is that enough VRAM for grayscale?

A Dell UltraSync ought to work with this card, not sure one of my Mac friendly KDS/Radius LCDs would manage that. FPD/TPD was the wild west when it came to sync rates. Luckily yours is a DA-15 interface, DE-9 is the kiss of death.
