| Firmware update broke my original Clamsheel iBook Mac OS 8.6 compatibility. |
Posted by: Macmaster on 2018-06-05 02:35:08 Dear 68KMLA users,
First time poster, long time lurker (10 yrs).
i have a original orange iBook g3 clamshell computer that used to boot to Mac OS 8.6 just fine, yesterday I found out that there is a firmware update available.
I did the update and it broke the Mac OS 8.6 compatibility. whenever I boot to 8.6 it just shuts down right when the desktop loads, even when I boot from the original restore disk witch worked just fine before the update.
mac OS 9 has no trouble booting...
anyone know how to downgrade the firmware?
Thanks!
T
