Upon further inspection, I found a total of three other pads with components missing.
I was only able to find one missing component in the packaging, a 10K resistor. After careful inspection of the dust around my entire workspace, I wasn't able to locate the other missing components. From some photos of the PCB online, it looks like two missing surface mount ceramic capacitors.
See attached.
- Marked in red are the spots where what I assume were caps have gone missing.
- Marked in orange is the spot where I assume the resistor has come off. 10k marked value.
- Marked in yellow are the components that have slid, but not fallen off.
I'm hoping someone has this same model of drive, and is able to help me determine the values of the missing components so I can buy replacements and reattach them.
Thanks! This is a funny little drive, and I'd really like to make sure it doesn't end up in the bin.
