Anybody think this would work on a II/Quadra/Centris w/ adaptec 3/4?

I can't answer the question (and I would be interested to know the answer), but the text of that ad is way too cute.

Think about it. If you had a CD-Writer, how would you use it? The possibilities are endless.

It depends on the system you are on and the software you are using. There is "Toast & Jam" that will work on System 7/8 but the version I have is PowerPC. Technically it should work. You may have to hack the driver (there are a couple of posts about CD Drive Drivers) but it should work.

I expect it will work. I have a HP CD Writer 9200 that works nicely with Toast 4 on 7.5.5 and 7.6.1. I'll see if I can find the drive compatibility list in my Toast documentation. I think the drive you linked to is an older model. Mine is 8x CD-R, 4x CD-RW, 32x CD-Rom on a 50 pin SCSI-2 bus.
