(Have done a full recap of the board and rebuilt the battery)
When i was about to consider the repair done this line appeared on the screen after a few hours of running Prince of Persia.
From what i can gather from older threads this is an actual problem with the LCD itself and not anything on the system board ?
Would this be possible to fix by disassembling the screen (removing the glass etc) and cleaning the rubber/carbon contacts that i have read about in the same old threads ?
Or is there something else i can do to repair it other then replacing the whole LCD ?
I noticed a few electrolytic capacitors on the backside of the LCD panel - but since the screen seems to be working fine other than this partial line i guess those are not in need of replacing ?
Overall the computer has been working fine since the recap, only the occasional hiccup which seemed to go away after charging the battery up to a higher voltage.
Regards.
