| Quicktake Software Issue |
Posted by: That_Ibook_Guy on 2018-04-01 13:26:22 So after getting the Camera Access software from mac garden I keep getting this message when trying to install it. "The file quicktime power plug cannot be replaced by the installer". I know it is an issue with running a newer version of quictimes but I have no clue beyond there. Has anyone seen this before.

Do you already have the QT PP extension installed?
If so try temporarily moving it out of the Extensions folder to the Extensions (Disabled) folder.
(If that folder doesn't exist create it in the System folder.)
Then try the install again.

Posted by: Byrd on 2018-04-01 21:09:04 Try running OS 9 natively on your G3, you need to locate the QuickTime Powerplug extension found in your System Folder --> Extensions and drag it to your desktop.

Posted by: bibilit on 2018-04-01 23:18:47 IIRC you should remove the QT extension present in the system first and let the installer do the job, the "read me first" file was clear about it.

Posted by: That_Ibook_Guy on 2018-04-02 19:04:40 So I removed that extension like you guys said and now I get this message that Quicktime "MPEG Extension" extension was not installed. Any thoughts
