Mac SE speaker broken? Also some screen issues.

Hi, I've recently purchased a Mac SE. I thought I would have to recap the logic board (I've never recapped anything before so was somewhat scared of that), but it looks to me as though the board might already be recapped. As you can see in the attached photo, all the caps are these new-looking blue ones (they look newer than the board), and they don't appear to be leaking at all.

The system boots off the old Quantum HD I installed in it, and for the most part works OK, except that no sound comes from the speaker. If I plug some speakers into the jack at the back, the sound works. So I suspect the logic chip is actually OK, just the speaker or the connection to the speaker isn't working. Can anyone advise me as to how to troubleshoot this further?

I also have noticed (in addition to burn-in), that the CRT will show brighter "traces" or shadows extending to the right from any black pixels. Is this just because of the age of the CRT? Or is there a problem with the video or analog chips?

Howdy! Indeed it appears someone has replaced some caps and couldn't be bothered to find axial replacements!

Troubleshooting could consist of trying a known-good speaker of a similar type and/or testing the original speaker with another audio source.

And of course checking the associated wiring/connections.
