In other words, it doesn't lock in either the open or closed position. I haven't received my IIc monitor yet, so I can't actually try using it. Am I going to have a problem with the machine reading disks if the door is loose?
| Posted by: khannonnd on 2015-11-30 23:33:48 Never mind, I went in there and fixed it. The little door had slipped off its assembly, so I reconnected it and now I can open and shut the door firmly.
When I had the drive out and open I accidentally slid back the thing that I assume controls the head, but it seems like it is meant to slide back and forth so hopefully I didn't break something...
| Posted by: Elfen on 2015-12-09 18:56:42 Congrats on the simple fix! That was a close call, as there are 2 plastic pins that hold the the latch to the rail and if they broke, it would have been a major job gluing the unit back to together.
