I recently acquired a brilliant DayStar catalog dated July 1994, and it has lots of great info.

I think someone could still just about get $139 for a Fastcache card if it were on the market. It's a very hard to find item, in my experience. I looked for years and, as I never came up with one, gave up on it.

I did, however, find a Daystar Quad 040 with 128k cache, which currently lives in my prized, mint Q650, and it really does make it faster than an 840av for ordinary software. The cache makes a noticeable difference. What again I've never been able to find to add to it is the add-on DSP board (it had the same DSPs as were on some Nubus cards, as I recall), which makes the Quad 040 into an Image 040.

Great stuff.

The FastCache is not a unicorn... it does exist!  }🙂

I almost had my hands on a fastcache but it ended up going to somebody else.

I have some more interesting catalogs that I will be putting up soon including a detailed Radius Rocket one.
