| SE/30 Stripes on Display? |
Posted by: Sunoo on 2018-02-04 08:18:41 I got this screen twice in a row last night while turning on my SE/30. However, after the third attempt, it worked fine, and it's been working fine since.
Also, maybe two or three times since I've had this computer, the screen has lost sync or something and just gone crazy while running. When that happened I quickly turned it off, and it was gone when I turned it back on.
Can someone let me know what this means, and what I should do about it, if anything?

Posted by: james_w on 2018-02-19 09:38:34 I have a very similar, if not the same issue (accompanied by the boot chimes of death) - see third picture here below, on my instagram.
I've recapped it, cleaned the board, removed all the RAM and ROM SIMMs, and I tested the "Bourns" or resistor networks as per this video of techknight's (can't work out how to paste a link and not get the embedded video, sorry). But I've had no luck 🙁

Machine is unable to read the RAM properly. So you have a broken RAM trace, or bad muxes.

Machine is unable to read the RAM properly. So you have a broken RAM trace, or bad muxes. Thank you for the diagnoses - I'll start investigating based on those 🙂
