| Help with Rasterops video cards |
Posted by: znosko on 2018-01-20 11:31:20 HelloI have Rasterops video boards - 8/24xli and PaintBoard 24 that I think work (Slot Info identifies the cards and the RAM disk feature appears when the 8/24xli is installed) - but when I connect it to my Macintosh Color Display to either card the image is garbled in the same way for both cards. I have never used the cards and I am wondering of the cards are set for a resolution higher than 640x480.
Do these cards auto-detect resolution? Or do I have to set the resolution manually or through software? I don't see a resolution setting in the control panel. And I don't see any obvious switches on the cards - no dip switches at all or jumpers that would seem to associate with resolution (one jumper at JPL10 on the 8/24xli, unknown function).
Anyone know anything about these cards that can help me troubleshoot? I am installing into a Mac IIci running 7.1. Thanks! Matt

RasterOps PaintBoard 24
RasterOps 24XLi
You should be able to change resolutions in the Monitors Control panel unless it's required to use a proprietary Control Panel?
