So I remember seeing a PowerMac 7100/7200 in a computer shop across town and it was $5.  I almost bought it but the video connector was not one I have seen.  it wasnt the standard mac connector it was big and scary looking.  What is the name of this connector and do they make VGA convertors

You need something like this:

whats pictured isnt even vga.  its HDI45 to a Mac DB15 connector.  Id have to use a DB15 to VGA connector on top of that.

Yup. Nobody made, as far as I know, an HDI45 to VGA adapter. If it has that connector, it is a 6100, 7100, or 8100.

Another option, my personally preferred route on the x100 Power Macs, is to get an Apple AudioVision display, which has that connector.

The connector collects video for the monitor, ADB, sound, and allegedly for the A/V models, an analog video input signal, all into one cable that goes from the system to the monitor.

Apple's idea at the time was to make everything a cleaner setup (which, it certainly would be if you had an 8100) and build it out into a bit more of an ecosystem.

Other options include getting the adapter and using a VGA adapter on it, or getting a NuBus or HPV video card to use with the system.

Yeah, I think im gonna pass on this particular mac,I have been told by my SO that I can only acquire 3 more computers due to space and I want a Beige G3, an SE/30 and a Quadra 950 / 840

Perhaps not a bad idea, given that you've already got a 650 and a 6220. Those are going to be in a close-ish performance band to this machine, unless it is a 7100/80 and the /80 is miraculously faster than the 6100/66 (like more than the roughly 1.2x you'd imagine it is from the numbers.)
