Unlocking Disk Copy images
Posted by: sega dude on 2014-01-26 07:30:40
How can I unlock the disk images I make with Disk Copy so that they can be modified when mounted in the finder? If I try to delete any files while the disk image is mounted (using Disk Copy 6.3.3 on OS 9.1) I get an error that says "You cannot move "" to the "Trash", because the disk is locked." How do unlock the disk so I can make changes to the disk image?

Disk Copy images by default are usually Read Only. You'll need to open up Disk Copy, then convert the Read Only disk image to a Read & Write disk copy image. You can then make changes. After you've done so, you can then convert it back to a Read Only if you like.
