| LC1/2 Roms in a Macintosh II mainboard? |
Posted by: uniserver on 2013-12-10 22:44:21 hey guys i have a Macintosh II Mainboard here..
i'm about ready to do a re-cap on it. the only thing that might keep me from making it work is , the 4 ROM Chips are missing.
I know the LC1 and LC2 have 4 chips for rom same as the Macintosh II.
Can anyone think of a reason why maybe i should not run LC rom's in a Macintosh II main board?

Posted by: olePigeon on 2013-12-11 09:55:22 I may have an extra set of LC ROMs you can have. I think I pulled them from one of my botched LC mobos. I'll need to rummage through my crap.

Posted by: bbraun on 2013-12-11 10:39:43 Isn't there solder points for a ROM SIMM socket underneath those DIP sockets? Desolder the DIPs and solder in a ROM SIMM socket, and use a dougg3 ROM SIMM! π

Apple HMMMU (I think that's the abbreviation? It's that black thing.) Friend Comrade LCGuy advises that it's called a PMMU.
This is why I'm not allowed near 68020 machines.
