PowerBook ADB mouse
Posted by: John_A on 2013-12-05 08:06:37
.. in the same dark, grey stylish color as the Powerbooks used to have..

Were such a device ever released by Apple or someone else?

John_A,

Do you mean something like this?

100_2843.JPG

It came with a PowerBook 140 I bought a few years ago.

This is the only example of a PowerBook coloured ADB mouse I've ever seen!

:beige:

Yes, that's exactly what I am looking for.

I have never seen one other than on pictures, I wonder how many of these that were made?

Let me know if its for sale. 😉

John_A,

Its Family No. is M2702 and its Serial No. is MI3374B5T18.

It's not for sale as I'm going through an ADB mouse shortage.

It must be an uncommon item as I find that the trackball on the 100 series PowerBooks is quite good!

That trackball worries me. The rubber/silicon rollers will eventually break down, if they havent started already. And when this happens, How do we fix it?

Would you mind taking a few pictures of the inside of the mouse ball holder?

finkmacunix,

I have taken a few photographs of the mouse ball holder and uploaded them to Google Drive:

I'm a fan of the 'teardrop' mouse; it has such a satisfying click to it!
