| TAM OS 7.6.1 |

I've got my TAM back up and running again. I have 2 partitions, 1 for 9.1 and 1 for 7.6.1. I want the 7.6.1 to show how the TAM came stock. I've got 7.6.1 burned to a CD and have installed the OS onto the partition. When I start the machine on the 7.6.1. side it says the machine is not supported. Does anyone know if there is a special version or extensions for the TAM to run 7.6.1? I should also note I have a Sonnet 500Mhz processor in there and don't know if that's causing the issue or not. I put the Sonnet extensions in the 7.6.1 Extension folder but it does' even get to that loading screen on boot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why not use your TAM restore CD to make it "original" on that partition?
Also, shouldn't this go in the PPC forum?

Anyway a TAM owner might be able to tell us more, there is a chance the TAM may have required a special enabler.

Turns out the partitions weren't setup correctly. I used Drive Setup in 9.1 to create 2 partitions but when I chose customized and Mac OS Extended it made both partitions that format. I needed to format the drives as Mac OS Standard, install the TAM System Software Restore CD on the partition I needed. I then took out the SSD and connected it to a G4 Cube and used 10.4 to format the other partition using Disk Utility to Mac OS Extended. I then was able to use my MacPro to transfer over the 55GB of music and system files for 9.1. Now I've got both 7.6.1 and 9.1 going.

Well, anything in "classic" Mac land is half-foreign these days. Anymore, I just forget about any modern convenience and load the machine to stock config. If I want something newer, I just use a newer machine.
