Posted by: waynestewart on 2013-09-21 23:07:28 Very nice. I don't collect Apple IIIs but I've grabbed 4 or 5 plus a large box of software, drives and stuff.
I keep planning on dragging it all out and making sure everything's fully functional. My list of 2000 things I'll do when I have a bunch of spare time.

Posted by: Cosmo on 2013-09-22 12:20:33 Very impressive indeed. You collected those long time ago?

Posted by: snuci on 2013-09-22 12:28:04 Nice collection. I like Apple IIIs. I have one myself but no Profile or Profile card for it. How are the Profile doing? Are they mostly/all functional? I did just recently order a couple of CFFA3000 cards. One is for the Apple III.
My understanding is that a certain color of Monitor III is the correct one for the Apple III. I finally got a Monitor III to finish off my Apple III but it's the darker brown and I think the lighter one was the correct one. Do you happen to know which one is correct or are they both okay?

Posted by: oldappleguy on 2013-09-22 13:14:56 I collected most of things in the 80's. I believe the lighter monitor came with the apple /// +.

Posted by: Macdrone on 2013-09-22 18:22:08 Thank you for sharing. I have one three. It's really neat. Had never seen one until some guy just gave it to me as he wanted it to have a home. I wish I had a pro drive, that makes the setup look so much more complete. McD got me an external floppy drive but I have yet to be able to find the apple logo/sticker for the front.

Posted by: Concorde1993 on 2013-09-22 19:26:49 I almost bought an Apple /// for $50 back in 2010. I've been on the lookout for one ever since.
Mind you, I've picked up two IIgs WOZ editions in the past year, so I can't really complain.
|
Posted by: Macdrone on 2013-09-22 20:11:10 I remember having a IIgs in school and I have one now, just not quite as much fun as a huge II or ///.
