| Craigslist $40 1.8ghz Dual Power Mac G5 |

Just picked it up. It came with the original system disks, a Leopard DVD, airport, original keyboard, mouse, and an iSight camera. On the downside no hard drive and a bad DVD drive. I threw in a 500gb drive as well as a CDRW drive I had laying around from an old PC and some more ram to up the total to 2.5 gb from 1.5. I booted from an external DVD to install Leopard. It is up and running great. Now what to do with it? I may use it just run some old programs and as a backup. Never had a newer Power Mac before so it is cool to play with it. 🙂

That's a great deal! 🙂 If it were me I would set it up as some sort of server, maybe to host files or a small website. That's a great way to make old macs useful if you're not going to be using them as your main machine. 🙂

A dual G5 will make a great space heater while it's running as a server 😛
