Using 128mb SIMM in Color Classic with LC550 board & Sonnet Presto

Posted by: firebottle on 2015-10-16 16:09:14 So I got another 128mb SIMM off eBay... Thought maybe Sonnet would've enabled usage of a large capacity SIMM on the Presto '040 PDS accelerator card.... Mac OS crashed while loading and I got this message on the screen, redrawing itself over and over: Bluets and Granola Bars ?!?! If I put the SIMM on the LC550 board, the screen stays dark for a while then "chimes of death". Fortunately it works in the LC475 ok... oh well.
