Just wondering what that could mean- It is on my PowerBook 150- It shows up sometimes and disappears and reappears while using the laptop....

Anyone have any idea?

Thanks 🙂

delamination of the screen cable to the screen or bad caps. Many threads on this. I think someone even posted a repair they made with the list of capacitors.

Is there any chance it could be to do with a slightly dodgy power adaptor?

Nah, I doubt it. One of my 160s had this issue and it wound up being bad caps.

Oh well looks like eventually it will need cap replacement :/

COF IC is bad, replace panel.

What is a COF IC, and where can I get a replacement?

COF = chip on film. Not entirely sure about that old of a panel, but the newer stuff the chip is epoxied/part of the film ribbon going to the panel and there is no replacement.
