| PDP-8e Emulators |
Posted by: CelGen on 2013-04-13 18:55:10 I'm aware for OS X you can just install Java and install a pretty good and visual emulator but I got word that there WAS also an emulator that was native to 68K.

The simulator is based on the PDP-8/E emulator (out-dated version from 1993) of Bill Haygood. It runs on 68K-, PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs with System 2.0.1 to Mac OS X 10.6 “Snow Leopard” and on various Macintosh emulators. (It does not run with Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion” (and newer) because that versions no longer support PowerPC applications.) Here (the image above) you can see the PDP-8/E Simulator simultaneously running on Mac OS X 10.2 “Jaguar” and on a Mac Plus with System 2.0.1. The Mac Plus “Mr. T” is emulated by Mini vMac. It's mentioned here and was apparently done by a Bill Haygood however all the links for the emulator and related to him now direct to dead links.
I can't seem to find anything else that came close to that emulator and am wondering if someone knows where else to find it or if thye know of something similar with a nice graphical front-end.

And if you look closer at the screenshot, there is a Mini vMac window.
