I saw this on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/200874134116

mainly because I am always on the lookout for the 500 series PB's. I noticed it said PowerBook 520 but I have never seen anyting like it. What is it for? And is it really for a PB 520? Please shed some light on this.

It's not for a PowerBook. That's a scsi pci card. Probably a model number from the looks of it. Lets external wide and internal scsi connections. I have one similar in a G4 I want to test.

Adaptec AHA-2940UW.

PCI and one of the most common SCSI cards of the time. work in a lot of systems but not at all compatible with powerbooks.
