I´ve upgraded the machine (G4 800, 1GB Ram) to Mac OS 9.2.2 (Authoring Support 1.1.3) and would now like to use my CD/DVD Speedtool especially iTuner, which needs at least Authoring Support 1.1.5, as my old SCSI CD burner with DiscBurner.
There are reports that "Authoring Support 1.1.9" is somehow installable, but no exact informations.
And there was "Disc Burner Helper 1.0.1" for a short time at os9forever, and later the cryptic hint to extract "the needed" files:
http://web.archive.org/web/20111216200858/http://www.os9forever.com/DiscBurner.html
But I don´t get it. What do I have to extract and what to do with it, ... ?
As well - if somebody still has "Disc Burner Helper 1.0.1" around - and could send it to me - is it a complete "Authoring Support 1.1.9" installation?
So the best would be if somebody has exact informations how to install "Authoring Support 1.1.9" completely.

| Posted by: CC_333 on 2013-03-07 16:45:40 Hi,
This link here seems to have Authoring Support 1.1.9 available for download:
Authoring Support 1.1.9: Information and Download
And Disc Burner 1.0.1:
Disc Burner 1.0.1: Document and Software
I am not sure what files you need to extract, but I suppose you could try installing the packages like normal. If your machine is upgraded to a G4, it should work?
I hope this helps!

| Posted by: avw on 2013-03-08 10:09:42 I see I´ve been very unprecice in my first posting. To me everything was totally clear when I wrote it 😉
So, of course I tried to install the correct files in normal ways. Downloaded the Authoring Support 1.1.9 in german language (so it fits to my Mac OS). But that doesn´t work at all. The installer says "unsupported" and quits. Than I tried to use TomeViewer, but the files I get are totally cryptic to me. These are no real programs or extensions ... I have no idea what to do with them.
And so I searched for "Disc Burner Helper" and could not find it.
So I am still searching for either
-) somebody who can explain step by step what to do with the Files from the Authoring Support 1.1.9 installer, when opened with TomeViewer
or
-) Somebody who can send me "Disc Burner Helper 1.0.1"
