Though, looking at the size, I'm not sure what's so "pocket" about it. 😛

I like that it sits vertically. Would look pretty sweet next to a Quadra 700. I might just have to put my IIci in vertical orientation.

If only I could get my NuBUS FWB card working. 🙁

Speaking of which: Trash or anyone else I know who has an FWB NuBUS card, could I post my card to you and you test to see if it works OK with your setup? I've gone through so many different types of resistor packs, I want to make sure I'm no wasting money on these things. Could also bee that maybe I have some bad SCSI cables. Either way, it's hard for me to test.

Do you have the software for it installed? It includes diagnostics, if I am not mistaken.

Yeah, it's all in there. I just freezes or gives me Sad Macs when I have it installed. :/

I'll test it for you after I get mine up and running. It's been waiting for me to restore and populate one of the StudioArrays.

That's a beautiful case, it looks like a exactly like a single drive height version the StudioArray, which I'm sure FWB OEM'd for Radius.

oP, I got the StudioArray and JackHammer up and running on the 81/110 today. [😉] ]'>

Thanks much, TylerEss, I love the JackHammer! [😀] ]'>

I bet you a lot of money there is absolutely nothing special inside. FWB rebadged a LOT of hardware with a higher sticker cost. If a terminator on the back isn't helping than I suspect the drive is dud. You don't need an FWB card to use it. You can just plug it into the SCSI port on your mac.

I received a Pocket Hammer 2050 with a Q950 13 or14 years ago. The drives got a 4gb HD in it now. There was nothing in the least bit special about the inside of the enclosure though. I used mine on the built-in SCSI on a number of Macs. It wasn’t the most compact enclosure out there but it was one of the nicer looking ones. It was also easy to open, just 2 screws on the bottom.

I'm aware I don't need anything special for the PocketHammer, I just liked having an FWB badged case. 🙂
