| Click here to select a new forum. | | DDR PC3200 RAM in an iMac G4? | Posted by: TheMacGuy on 2013-02-13 20:13:54 I pulled from an older HP that a friend wanted to get rid of a 250GB Western Digital hard drive, 7200rpm 8MB cache (I installed it, harvested out of an old LaCie dual RAID array HDD with 1 bad HDD, this one being the good one) and pulled out some RAM from the computer. 3 sticks in total, 2 256MB Infineon factory HP modules and an off brand 1GB stick bought from a local computer shop. All are DDR PC3200. I was wondering if this RAM would be compatible with the iMac G4, since the iMac G4 needs DDR PC2700 RAM. Some say yes, some say no. I would like to know before I put it in and seal it up, since it has to go in the internal DIMM slot.
