The guy said he bought it at a swap meet, and is so, its in amazing condition! Guy bought a power adapter for it for $20 and paid $30 for the whole machine. Got it with 9.2 and downgraded it to 9.0, but I would like to figure out how to install Cheetah on it, just to say I have a Mac running 10.0, but I have had no such luck. I love it. I have always wanted an iBook Clamshell.

An iBook G3 Clamshell under $100? What is this, 2005? I found several, between 20 and 30 € each 🙂
| Posted by: BlastoiseBlue on 2013-01-29 10:16:13 Oh wow. :O
Well if you can run back and grab a few I'd be VERY interested in a trade, but I don't think it'd be that easy seeing how we'd have to figure out shipping. Been looking for a Clamshell my whole life, but they're all so expensive and rare here. :c

An iBook G3 Clamshell under $100? What is this, 2005? 😛 I've seen a few Indigo models on eBay for $50 or so.
I know what you mean, though; While there is an apparent (and most likely short lived) glut of Indigo (and other) machines, there is a Key Lime model for more than $500, which is kind of extraordinary, I think.

I'd love to get the Indigo, Key Lime and Graphite models, then I'd have a complete collection!

I can't afford any of them (except maybe the Indigo model :approve: )

p.s. Congratulations on your Tangerine iBook!
| Posted by: ClassicHasClass on 2013-01-29 17:07:16 I have a blueberry iBook myself. It needed a new CD-ROM and some extra RAM, but it runs OS 9 like gangbusters. I also found it a replacement battery.
| Posted by: TheMacGuy on 2013-01-29 20:03:21 I'm not sure what I'm going to do OS wise. Right now, I can't get 10.0 to install, so I'm thinking about installing Panther and just maxing it out. The hard drive is VERY loud, like most Clamshells. So, here a the specs:
300MHz G3
3GB HDD
160MB of RAM (32 soldered, 128 stick)
Mac OS 9
