Upgrading from G3 to G4 in my 7600/132.
Posted by: Solvalou on 2013-01-05 05:06:16
I need a hand as I had bought a 9600 tower from eBay and I havn't the space for it so I had given the basic tower away and kept some of the cards. One of which is a Sonnet Crescendo G4 450/1M which will fit my 7600 fine. However, it has a 400Mhz G3 card installed currently (XLR8) and swapping them over doesn't make it boot from the get go. I looked on the Sonnet website and it says there needs to be software installed before you install the card. Mine didn't come with any and I am curious where do I get this software from (if I still can)?

Thanks in advance.

Sonnet website or google search it Is what I did. You have to load the software before you install the new card

Thanks guys. bibilit , if you have a spare CD/floppy around or can make a copy that would be even better but if not i'm sure I can get this on the 7600 somehow. 🙂
