Whodathunkit? It's news to me that they stretched the venerable Zip form factor to 750MB!

Who has one of these things, what's the scoop?

__Mac OS compatibility range?

__Backward compatibility for reads to 250MB & 100MB?

What's their reliability as compared to 100's, 250s & the JAZ?

I'm more interested in hearing about actual experiences with these than iomega's specs.

That's funny. an unopened pack of 750 disks just showed up in my related search box on eBay about an hour ago, and I thought I was nuts... lol

If I remember correctly, you can read but not write to 100 MB Zips. So you have to use 250 MB or bigger. There's also no SCSI version.

No worries, you are! ;D

That'll work, oP, I'm pretty much shifting over to 250s already . . . new toy!

Correct on both counts. Only USB, FW400 and ATAPI versions. (At $CUSTOMER, they had a few Dells fitted with internal 750s and lots of the USB externals.) I managed to scrounge two externals and an 8 pack of disks during a big cleanout.

I pretty much did the shift as well, even though a colleague gave me enough erased 100s to last until the bovines return to their place of residence
