Also got the 800K external floppy with it!

And CC_333 sent along an extra goodie with it as well, the Apple mouse pad! Thanks C!

uniserver: Thank you very much!!

TheMacGuy: I tried my best to fix it up.

I hope you enjoy it, markyb!!

Also, I'm glad you like the mouse pad! It was part of a batch of throw away items, which I rescued from a local school.

I know I'm going to like this little guy. It's so clean and Q U I E T...

The SE is REALLY LOUD.. It's just the HDD now, so once that sucker is booting from a Jaz tape, shouldn't have that issue..

Hi,

A word of warning: JAZ drives are also kind of noisy.

However, unlike the internal HDD, they do spin themselves down, so they're quiet then.

On the other hand, like hard drives, some JAZ drives are bound to be noisier/quieter than others.

Well as long as it shuts up im happy? The HDD in the SE Sounds like a 5.25" Floppy on steroids while read/write, and then just a consistent whine sound "to let you know its still there" ... lol

Congrats Marky! That is a very nice specimen indeed! It's great you got it hooked up with 4 megs as well. I agree totally with you about that constant whine of the hardrive compacts. The Jaz drive option is my favorite! I have 2 of them, one a 1 gb, the other a 2 gb. I think i might try and find an internal zip or jaz for my classic ii and take that old 80 meg hardrive out.
