ID this remote control . . .

Posted by: Brett B. on 2012-11-25 10:30:03 Anyone know what exactly this goes to? or what it does? Haven't tried it with anything yet, looks like maybe it controls Apple Video Player or something? It does not have any part number or anything on it.

Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2012-11-25 11:27:30 Standard Sony IR/RC re-branded by Apple for use with the revised TV/Tuner installation kit for the Quadra 630 and derivatives. Runs the CD nicely for Music, BTW. First adopters (like myself, in this rare instance where I got the Q630 for the rug rat's room) got the 😎 Credit Card Sized Remote.

Was it a standard kit for any of those later models or was it an add-on accessory? It didn't come with the Quadra 630/CD I set up as a HomeWorkStation for the rugger by day and for me when he was snoozing in his bed next to me at his desk by night. Very cool, that, sweet memories. :b&w:

Posted by: Macdrone on 2012-11-25 19:08:42 Was stock on the performas with the AV in and TV tuner. So of course the TV tuner kit and presentation system came with it to be able to add on to all the types of macs with those form factors. Btw I forgot the 4xxx and 5xxx series.
