PB3400c and Mac SE
Posted by: Gil on 2012-11-15 13:56:41
Hey guys!

I've been out of the Mac scene for a while now. Lots going on, and I've run out of room for my collection (most of my macs are now in a storage unit). However I recently picked up some new items and it has rekindled my vintage Mac interests.

The first is a Mac SE Superdrive which I got on eBay:

The second is a PowerBook 3400c which came with original box and lots of goodies:

I hope to do some fun things with both (provided I can find room to set them up!) 🙂

Congrats. I love the SE, the laptops I love just harder to get for me.

Oh man! Original Boxes! Gotta love 'em.

Nice nabs! I strive for something in the original box. In fact, someone on my local CL had a completely new PowerBook or PB Duo, I forget the model number. He wanted like $3000 for it. He got mad when I offered him what was in my wallet, which was $20. I also notice that you have both the old and new Airport Expresses. How do you like them?

the laptops I love just harder to get for me.
Come to Southern California. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. 5 of my minuscule 9 computer collection, are laptops. 4 of them being bought off Craigslist. You will more then likely pay a premium, because everything here is more, but computers stored in garages or attics are more likely to have survived out here, due to the warm sunny days. :b&w:

That's really nice, boxed goodies are always good finds and looks like the SE is in a great shape. Good luck!

Nice finds! I hope to find an old powerbook in a box one day. Looking forward to tuning up my boxed mac plus from the first production run, then put it away for 20 years. The good thing about multiples, is you always know you have a better one than you can take out from time to time. In the mean time you can setup the non boxed one for use. I wish i was in the financial position to do this, but some macs have come and gone to keep funds available for other things. Luckilly i got a classic ii recently for dirt cheap, so i can enjoy that one when i want to play with apps in the old OS's. Miss my maxed out SE.
