I tried (Chromi-)VNC V.3.4-a5 on my new (old) LC 475, it's free and works great on sys 7.5.5. But I cannot see more than a 32x32 cutout on the display if I try to login over network.
The simple login over ibook |<------>|hub|<------>|LC475 works with full display; but over the "normal" house network over router, firewall and hub I see only 32x32. Well, the same result over WLAN, directly to router and LC475.
Any idea? Bandwidth or misconfiguration? or...?
I tried viewer like tightVNC on a PC, or the VNC viewer itself on ibook an PC and the ChickenVNC; all same results...
Thx
antonio

?
| Posted by: antonio66 on 2012-11-02 01:30:09 Hi,
yes I'm using the last alpha and patches. I tried java-viewer, too. Add the java-files from vnc (AT&T) on the Mac and completed the directory entry on TriviaPrefs.
I have respond from the port 5800, but it ends with "java.io.EOFException".
Chromi/Morton has adapted java-files as tgz, but it's no more on the www. :'(
I play a bit with the compression entries, but there is no difference; I can see only a 32x32 cutout...
