| LC PDS DOS Card? |
Posted by: PackingTape on 2012-07-25 10:46:47 Is there such a thing, for the original LC PDS? Just curious. The only LC PDS cards I know of are video, sound, Ethernet, Apple II, and accelerators, but a DOS card would be really cool. Also, how rare are LC PDS video cards that do 1024x768 or better. According to the wiki, there's one (Spectrum8/LC) that does 1152x882!

Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2012-07-29 21:27:57 You could run SoftPC on an LC, that's what I ran on my 8MB PB100's 16MHz 68000.
Same bus speed and and data width as the PB100 . . .
. . . the instruction set/speed bump(?) of the newer 68020 proc . . .
. . . a 25% bump in RAM address space . . .
. . . with color ROMs thrown in as a nice extra, enabling GS output to a Portrait Monitor!
Dunno, might be interesting to try with mine.

Accelerated 24bit up to 823*624 and still 16bit at 1152*870. I got one of those and it really is a pleasure to use over any LC onboard video.
