its funny when people make the "main" picture a crappy one in their ad…

sometimes just a little bit more effort can make all the difference, when you are selling something.

i started looking at the pictures, previously, i had just read the description,

i really did drop my sandwich, it was goobers peanut butter and jelly.

It's funny, I saw that one listed in my "Recommend Listings" section. I was going to place a bid, but I have to buy AppleCare for my MacBook Pro.

oh yeah , there is plenty of great deals to go around for all of us, sometimes you have to be patent!

The last lot i won was (5) Macintosh IIsi, one had the removable rom, the other had 18meg ram and network card, with riser and Math co,bnc/aui/10-Bt

i was going through a few of them last night and they all work, but only one of them has proper working sound,

also i won a Classic for 99 cents , that one works but has no sound,

It doesn't look like a Plus to me, at least not originally. It looks like one of the upgraded models that started life as a 128K or 512K. Check the serial number under the machine. If it ends in P, it was a 128K, WP means it was a 512K, and A means I looked at the low light pictures and saw it incorrectly. But my money is on the upgrade.

To go one step further, you can see if it was an original Mac, or a 128K if it ends in P based on the month. F stands for Fremont, the next number is the year made in the 80s, then the next two numbers tell you which month it was made. So if it says F425...... you know it's an original mac. If its F451...... it's a 128K. I think the swap over was September 1984.

What in the pictures makes you think it was an upgraded 128 or 512k? Personally if it is upgraded I would love it even more !

The front bezel is a Macintosh 128k/512k one, not a Plus one (the Plus bezel has the Apple logo inline with the floppy drive slot, and says, "Macintosh Plus" on the front)

Oh wow, Ya it was upgrade, 🙂 . Wow wow,

Good eye, Wikipedia has a well written info about the upgrade.

Should I be happy, For some reason I am.

I've got one, and I prefer it as it has a bit of history. So what is your one? What's the serial number tell you?

I'll know once it gets here. It's in route.

Definitely. I mainly only buy off of Craigslist thought. I love eBay, but old Macs can be found cheaper on Craigslist because of no shipping cost and being able to haggle. In fact, before I go to bed, I'm going to search Craigslist right now!
