Apple Studio Display
Posted by: bibilit on 2012-05-06 07:14:14
Just collected today a 17" Apple Studio Display.

Was half an hour from home, and free to collect.

A bit dirty, as he hasn't been used for a while, but who can complain ?

Sent an e-mail, advising i will be interested and owner of a Powermac G4... that made the difference as most of the e-mails the owner received were for computers not carrying the ADC connector. :b&w:

Nice, congratulations! I've got one too, for not much more than you paid in gas for yours . . . or less! 😱)

How's the brightness. Mine's a bit dull and the coating is flawed. I've been meaning to clean it all off, but no time and no pressing need for it as the 17" Studio CRT is on the front lines ATM.

I didn't use my car, was a nice walk !! :-*

Are you speaking about the clear plastic casing ? if so, was pretty dull as well, so removed the rear foot (3 small Allen screws) then the 4 screws of the rear casing and proceed to clean it...inside and out.

15 minutes of work and i have now a very clean unit.

Nice walk, sounds great, I got my curbed Classic shell while walking crosstown up in NYC.

I got my (dull LCD w/ worn anti-glare coating) as settlement of a non-functional Sub-Woofer dispute at a thrift. Great deal, but not quite as good as a bit of mileage on footwear! 😱)

I've got three of four LCDs I need to crack open & test, probably caps. I'm actually sort of thinking about hackin' a six footed StudioPivotDisplay . . .

. . . dunno I like weird/fugly asymmetrical novelties scattered randomly amongst the gems in the collection.

This one might wind up a bit too strange, so it's simmering at the back of the the stove. [}🙂] ]'>

Nice story

Will keep this one as a spare, already have another 17" Studio Display and a 15" (came with my Cube, but was faulty hence the first 17")

Can't resist a freebie and those LCD are really cute.
