All powerbooks seems to follow more or less the same rules,remove battery, remove the bottom screws, flip the keyboard, remove the top cover... change the HD. Concerning the screen, some screws should be hidden by plugs. | |
| Posted by: beachycove on 2012-04-23 12:14:15 Removal of the hinge caps at the two sides is a good idea before moving the top cover forward to get at the innards. Beware the cable connecting the trackball to the logic board, too, when you get the top off -- very easily broken at that stage. | |
| Posted by: nvdeynde on 2012-04-26 01:14:12 You only have to remove the hinge covers. Then close the laptop. Release the clips that hold the display cover and just slide it off. There's no need to disassemble the whole duo just to remove the LCD panel. Take Care, Nico | |
