| Printer cable for 128K or 512K Mac (DE9 to MiniDIN8) |
Posted by: joethezombie on 2015-08-15 18:56:49 I would like to get My ImageWriter II working with my Mac. I don't have the cable, though. I have a 25' MiniDIN8 cable I found at a surplus store. If I chop it, and put DE9 connector on the end, what is the pinout? Is it just a null-modem cable as detailed on the ADTPro website? I would build as such:
DIN8 - DE9
5 - 3
3 - 2
4 - 5
8 GND
1 - 8
2 - 7
GND 4
7 - 1
Is that good for the ImageWriter II? Anyone know? I don't want to harm the Mac.

Posted by: joethezombie on 2015-08-19 15:33:55 That would appear to be correct. I found the Apple part number as well, 590-0332-B. If someone has the pinouts to that cable, I could build it.
