Latest rescue for very cheap. Quite clean unit, keyboard looks really good, display also. Only problems are with the display hinges wich are loose and dvd-rom wich seems not to be working, it just keeps looping forever. Need to open the case and see if there is HD inside, atleast it wont boot from it. The boot chime is there so that's a good sign. Battery of cos is totally dead.I was told is has 30Gb HD. It came with lots of disks, however.. for Powermac G4 (9.0.4 and 9.2.2) and iMovie 2.

I poked around the open firmware and looks like it responds to all hardware.

Edit: Yes, there were 30GB HD inside.

Remembered that i have an DVD-RW drive saved up from my friend's HP laptop repair project - so i tried that. It fit nicely, and even the faceplate was reasonably easy to make fit. Had to use some doublesided tape (!) to get it stay in place. So the drive seems to work now, but the strange noise must be coming from the HD. So once again need to find an 2.5" ATA drive.. oh well.
