1989 Macintosh Portable in working order with bag

Posted by: krye on 2012-02-11 16:32:24 The Macintosh Portable has been on my want list for the longest time. I've been watching eBay for a year and haven't been able to score one. The prices just go way too high. I managed to score this puppy in the bag for only $140. It's in great shape. I posted a whole write up on my site here: Macintosh Portable I took the whole thing apart and gave it a good cleaning. I even gave the keyboard a retr0brite session since they had a little yellowing on them. I did a detailed write up on that too: Macintosh Portable Disassembly & Cleaning So glad to finally have one of these guys in my collection.

I'm gonna get into my old Mac stash and add another desk to my office to dedicate to some of my old stuff. So many options and so little space! I won't ramble on about that since I don't want to take attention away from this excellent addition to your collection. 😛b:

Great retro corner! :approve: I've got a really nice Luggable too, I need to fire it up again sometime soon . . . . . . so many toys, so little time! I also finally scored a DOA Portable for a color LCD hack of some kind with current technology, which for me . . . . . . means anything from the Duos thru now. }🙂
