This particular magazine is a September 1992 issue and features commentary about the digital divide in America's schools. I decided to buy this issue so I could analyze the historical perspective of technology in education using authentic materials from the early days of educational computing. Of course, the magazine itself is also fun because of its age. There are ads for Classic IIs and IIcis. Lots of full-page ads for LaCie hard drives, too. The software on the best-seller list (remember when that was still in Macworld?) includes MacWrite, Math Blaster, and Carmen Sandiego. Equally fun is the used Mac price index. As a bonus, the magazine is over 400 pages long, although most of it is ads. Still, compared to the tiny Macworlds they offer today, this thing is pretty substantial.

I've occasionally glanced at the InfoWorld archive that can be viewed freely on Google books. One of them I had fun reading was the THINK Pascal 4 review in the May 18, 1992 issue.
Posted by: TheIanMan85 on 2012-01-31 03:14:56 Makes me wish I still had my old Mac magazines. I had all the MacUsers from 1996 until the Macworld buyout up until about 2001ish. MacAddict from 1998ish until about 2003? Dates are off the top of my head and are likely a little off. I had a bin full of those, and another full of MacWarehouse, MacMall, etc... I recycled them in 2007 during a move. I just can't hoard everything, although I sure do try. I do have an old "Macintosh Buyer's Guide" or something from the mid 80sish I think I just saw in a box recently, and some other random stuff. Cool find...maybe I'll buy a few old mags in the future. I'd like to have some more of the vintage of your score or older.
