Late 2001 G3 iBook

Since we've got the same computer repair class, he normally brings in different types of computers he plucked from schools all around the state. Just the other day he brought in an iBook, remembering the rule I told him about anything with an Apple on it. "If it has that Apple logo, bring it to me!" The battery in it was completely dead when we got it. Simple solution. Order the charger. Charger comes in three days later (thanks Amazon!) and we charge it up! Though... The battery does not hold a charge... But that will be fixed once we order a new battery. Hopefully. But anyways. We power it up, get a start up chime, and then... Massive black spot in the screen! The LCD panel is cracked! I can tell it boots into OS X and goes to a log in window.. But that's as far as I can get it. :-/ A new LCD panel is on order now. I can't wait to get this bugger up and running. Hopefully I can find out the specs on it soon enough... The suspense is crushing!
