Everyone's Favorite Math Game for Mac

Yup, I scored a brand new CD version of Number Munchers for 67ยข.

It's the original version, not the Deluxe edition (I prefer the original as both an instructor and someone who played the games; the newer edition covers more concepts but has distracting music and isn't as playable by students who aren't good at video games).

Should be able to get another laptop up and running for the kiddos now, as I'm finding Number Munchers and Midnight Rescue to be the most popular games I have (the kids actually prefer them to the online games on the newer machines). Time to de-mothball the 140 I just put away!!!

Yay! I played this endlessly on my Apple II. Learning made fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yup, Number Munchers is definitely a winner. ๐Ÿ˜€ The only other math games we had were Math Blaster Episode I: In Search of Spot and Math Blaster Ages 9โ€“12 (a remake of Episode II: Secret of the Lost City,) which were also fun... Though I'm pretty sure I enjoyed Number Munchers the most. ๐Ÿ˜‰

When I was young I loved this Maths game:

Ah, Treasure MathStorm. I have a few copies of that one too. I was already past its content by the time it came out but have seen it in action and may use it with at least one of the kids I tutor, probably sometime in the second semester of this school year.

I just ordered Dr. Quandary from Amazon to use with students who struggle with patience/persistence in problem solving. I remember playing it at computer camp when I was young. It was an even better deal: 50ยข.
