So, I'm looking for something that would serve a similar purpose with a similar form-factor and is available to buy somewhere.
The main idea is that it connects to an SCSI plug and then converts that into PCMCIA slots. I've seen Micha's, but it is too large for this purpose. Does anyone have one of these, or know anywhere where I might be able to get one.
Thanks for any input, as I've hit several dead-ends only a few hours into this project 😱)

Yes, something like that, though that one specifically might be too big for my intended application. I opened up the dock and it doesn't seem like there would be room for a 3.5" HDD. However, there isn't any way to know how much room can be saved by removing the case }🙂 . Length wise it would work. It is the width that troubles me. :-/
Also, just wondering, would something like this connected to an SCSI bus be able to act as anything other than storage? I know there were SCSI -> Ethernet adapters, but would that(or USB) be possible with this setup?
| Posted by: techknight on 2011-09-05 19:46:24 my SCSI SSD project was based off of Micha's code. and i hit brick walls with it too. been too busy to get back to it.
at least the AHA card, it would do a full inquiry without crashing anything.
The mac just rejects it completely. Micha's code probably isnt fully compatible with SCSI-1 signaling. (only SCSI-3 compliant code).
