Scored 2 large credenzas for my Mac Collection
Posted by: krye on 2011-07-09 12:37:59
Work was having a garage sale and was selling off a whole bunch of office furniture. I scored these 2 huge credenzasa for $50/ea. (Considering how corporate drops cash, these are probabyl $1000 credenzas). So I feel like I got hooked-up.

Anyway, now I can display my Mac Collection nicely. Previously, they were sitting on top of 3 different sized dressers and a glass computer table. It looked horrible. Everything was a differnet color, height, and style. My computer room looked like the place where furniture went to die. Mo more. Now it looks like a Vintage Mac Museum. I'm very happy. And I gained a ton of storage space too. There's shelves inside too.

The collection looks sharp! I love the new furniture!

I'm interested in the stands your SE, StyleWriter, and Classic are on. Where did you find these? I have a short cubby which could benefit from such a device to become a viable computer stand.

The stand under the SE and StyleWriter he actually made if I'm not mistaken - check out his website. Not sure about the one under the Classic.

How do you type on them?

(Remember the old prevailing PC laptop keyboard design? Apple had it the other way (except the Portable)...)

I have too many machines these days to have a nice clean setup like that.

Looks like the stand he built for a 30" Cinema Display. Found the directions on his website.

Nice! I wish I had a room I could arrange like that. Then, if I did, I would wish for the furniture. 🙂

Nice neat setup - I like, that's how it should be! My Macs fit a single wardrobe, stacked neatly with a chest of plastic tubs for parts. I know that one day these will have to move, so will one day have to look into alternate storage arrangements - something like this would be ideal. Otherwise, I'm planning on building a small, but insulated/solid timber shed to store my Macs and other hobbies.

Looks neat and tidy, very nice to look at. Is it still neat and tidy when you open the doors? 😉

Thanks for the props guys.

Yes, the stand under the SE was something that I quickly banged together for my 30" ACD back in 2007. I'd had it up in the attic and figured I'd pull it out and make it useful again.

Wow! Seems like it's been forever since I ran Tiger!

Yes, that's a PowerCD that I recently scored.

That furniture looks great, and really makes the Mac collection look attractive and orderly. Score!
