I just purchased another iBook G4 to replace the one I damaged 2 years ago. I tested it, and Software update ran perfectly fine and installed updates with no issues (Running Leopard). However, I swapped in the hard drive from my old hard drive (running Tiger) and now Software update won't work.
It will open but the progress bar just stays frozen at the bottom at like 10%. I trashed all the preference files, but it made no difference. Anyone have any ideas? I found issues with people running leopard, but the drive with leopard ran perfectly fine, but my drive running tiger doesn't seem to do anything besides opening.
