I've been trying to put together a boot/install CD for Mystic (non 640x480) CCs. My plan is to take all the files from disk images (modifying the necessary ones in ResEdit) and then burn them to a CD with the OS X disk Utility. Will this be bootable on the CC? Or is there some classic Mac OS voodoo involved...?
Also, which OS is better, 7.1, 7.5.3, or 7.6? I hope to get this thing on the internet, run MacSSH, etc.

I have a Color Classic that didn't boot from the HDD, but when I used a Disk Tools disk, it saw the drive. I used my Apple 150 external cd drive to install 7.6 on it, and it runs surprisingly well. I know from my TAM that a System 7.6 Mac can still browse the Internet, etc, so that is a good option.
