Brand new copy of System 7.1.1 Pro!

I am very exited to get this one in the mail. A brand new copy of 7.1.1 pro! Cost me 21 dollars on fleabay.

Now the question remains: Should I open it when it arrives?

Thus the poll. I will document it with a video for sure. But I am uneasy about opening a new copy of Apple software from 1993.

I have a pretty large Apple OS collection (legit) from 6.0x to 9.1 and I am not sure I have 7.1.1 pro. Nice find.

I vote: only open it if you don't already have another (already opened) copy of it.

I don't see much 'value' in unopened vs opened software of this vintage, it's just cool to see it still in it's shrink wrap!

I think you should leave it unopened until you actually want/need to use it on a Mac. That way you won't end up feeling guilty about opening a shrink-wrapped copy. 😉

I decided to open it up and install it on the IIfx.

One floppy was defective out of the box! The last one, AppleScript.

Making a replacement.
