I have a dual 1.8 g5. Its missing a video card, can I just use a radeon 7000 I got laying around in it

Should work, but it seems sad to waste a G5 on that level of card.

Just temporary until I can find the right one

IIRC, the G5 Powermac can use a PCI card as an additional video card but not as a primary video card.

Look at flashing a PC Radeon 9800 Pro or Nvidia FX5200, FX5500 or FX6200. You should be able to find one under $40.

It looks like the AGP Slot is different then Most radeon 9800s I have, I also have a radeon 9000 sitting here too.

The AGP 8X slots are different then the early AGP 1x/2x ones or ones designed for 4x/8x (different voltages so they changed the AGP slot key to keep things from blowing up). Radeon 7000 is so old its probably 1x/2x only.
