| Soldering more Memory on Powerbook 520 Memorycard |
Posted by: chiaki on 2011-04-30 05:45:21 I got a Powerbook 520 with 4MB Memorycard, but 8MB Memory is not enough for me 😛
I attached pictures from the card, has anybody a clue what memory and what resistor i must solder?

I would guess that you need to find RAM ICs that exactly match those on the other side. As for the other components, I have no idea. Alas, probably the safest route is to find a larger capacity RAM module and copy it.

I don't think it needs any resisters. I think all of that is taken care of in the memory control IC. It would be good to add ceramic capacitors. Either .1 or .01
